Reporting Incidents to the El Cerrito Police Department
Attempt Auto Theft/Auto Burglary-1900 Block of Junction Avenue
On September 19, 2016, at 1052 hours, officers responded to the listed location on the report of a suspect removing property from the victim's vehicle. Upon spotting the crime in progress the victim confronted the suspect causing him to flee. Approximately thirty minutes later, the victim noticed the same suspect driving away from her vehicle. The victim checked on her vehicle and discovered the suspect stole several items and damaged the ignition of the vehicle in an attempt to steal it.
