<p>Last week the Harris County Sheriff&rsquo;s Office High Tech Crime Unit led a regional coalition of Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force agencies in a three-day proactive investigation. The target of this investigation was Internet predators who engage in Online Solicitation of a Minor (33.021 TPC).</p>

<p>During the course of the investigation the HTCU and its partners operated in an area of southeast Harris County and identified persons who communicated with children in a sexually explicit manner using social media applications and the Internet. These persons subsequently made arrangements to meet with underage children for the purposes of sexual assault and were intercepted by law enforcement.</p>

<p>Several of these defendants arrived armed. One defendant was out of jail on bond for unrelated charges and arrived at the victim&rsquo;s door holding his 2-year-old son. Another was a licensed security officer who identified himself online as a Fort Bend County police officer, and arrived with condoms and alcoholic beverages. All twenty-five of the defendants shown in the images below were arrested without incident and booked into the Harris County Jail on charges of Online Solicitation of a Minor - a&nbsp;second &nbsp;degree felony. Bonds ranged from $20,000.00 to &ldquo;No Bond&rdquo;.</p>
