Water Main Replacement Project

WHAT

The City of Arcadia has awarded a contract to E & R Construction, Inc. to replace the existing 10” water main with a 12” water main on Camino Real Avenue between Second Avenue and Wesley Lane.

WHEN

Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 26, 2016 and will be completed by Friday, November 11, 2016. Work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. No work will take place on holidays.

WHERE

The water main replacement project will take place on Camino Real Avenue between Second Avenue and Wesley Lane.

WHAT TO EXPECT

 No parking within the work zone will be permitted. Emergency and safety vehicles are excluded from this restriction.
 Signs will be posted to indicate the date and time that parking will be restricted.
 Some traffic delays should be expected as there will be detours.
 Residents with driveway access disrupted shall be notified by contractor two days prior to demolition, by door hanger. Temporary access will be provided in and out of driveway.
 Construction equipment may be staged within the neighborhood.
 During construction, there will be some noise and dust.
 Mail and trash services will be coordinated with the City’s service providers and will occur as regularly scheduled.
 Water service to affected customers may be interrupted for 3-6 hour period in order to complete necessary work. The contractor will give 48 hours notice prior to any interruption in water services by leaving a door hanger with information.
