Subject:Armed Suicidal Subject
Today at 4:56 am, Sun Prairie Police received information about an armed suicidal subject driving near the City of Sun Prairie. Sun Prairie officers observed the vehicle eastbound on Hwy 19 in the city.A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle came to a stop in the Walgreens parking lot at 275 Davidson Dr.Sun Prairie Officers and Dane Co. Deputies contacted the subject who eventually turned himself over to officers. The subject was taken into protective custody without incident and transported to an area hospital for treatment.During this time traffic on Hwy 19 from N. Bird St. to Hwy 151 was shut down for safety.
