In 2015, the Thousand Oaks Police Department responded to nearly 23,000 calls for service. Your law enforcement officers work specific neighborhoods or patrol areas, day in and day out. These patrol areas are called beats. This system of community policing allows officers to really learn and interact with the community and citizens they serve. This structure is only part of the issue; however, it takes more than that. It takes even greater partnerships between public safety and the community.

What's on your mind? The chief wants to sit down and have a cup of coffee or tea with you. Over the last four years these casual, spontaneous discussions between community members and the Chief has led to numerous resolutions of community issues that would otherwise have not surfaced.
Come share your concerns of your neighborhood, openly, over a free cup of coffee. Be a part of the reason that this is such a safe and desirable community. Contribute your ideas and thoughts.
