In 2015, the Thousand Oaks Police Department responded to nearly 23,000 calls for service. Your law enforcement officers work specific neighborhoods or patrol areas, day in and day out. These patrol areas are called beats. This system of community policing allows officers to really learn and interact with the community and citizens they serve. This structure is only part of the issue; however, it takes more than that. It takes even greater partnerships between public safety and the community.
One example of those types of partnerships is the monthly Coffee with the Chief and on Wednesday, September 21st from 8:30 to 10:30 Thousand Oaks Police Chief Tim Hagel will be at the Newbury Park Library, 2331 Borchard Rd Newbury Park, Ca
Come share your concerns of your neighborhood, openly, over a free cup of coffee. Be a part of the reason that this is such a safe and desirable community. Contribute your ideas and thoughts.
