Package Thief arrested: ECPD officer arrested the suspect in this case (ECPD Report #16-17034). 
On August 30th, 2016, an El Cerrito Police Department patrol officer responded to the theft of a package in the 2600 block of Arlington Blvd. Images of the suspect were captured on the homeowner's video camera surveillance system. On September 10th, at 1048 hours, a patrol officer checked on a subject in a vehicle in the 1600 block of Arlington. The officer recognized the subject as the package thief. The subject, Noriel Bautista, a 36 year Hayward man was arrested on two unrelated warrants. He was booked into the Contra Costa County jail. Evidence related to the package theft was recovered. The El Cerrito Police Department will seek a complaint for the theft of the package at the Contra Costa County District Attorney's office.
