ARMED SUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER LENGTHY STAND-OFF
Lancaster Deputies responded to a home on the 2100 block of West Ave K-12 regarding a domestic disturbance. The female victim stated she had an argument with her ex-boyfriend, Suspect Brock Bunge of Lancaster and he left the scene prior to the responding deputy’s arrival. A short time later, Suspect Bunge returned to the same house with a firearm and shot at his ex-girlfriend’s house then drove away.
It was later reported by additional victims that Suspect Bunge was involved in a two vehicle traffic collision on 90th St West just north of Ave K. The victims reported that the suspect pointed a shotgun at them as they initially attempted to render aid at the scene of the traffic collision. It was later determined that the other party in the collision was also assaulted by the suspect and had his cellphone and other personal property taken from him.
The armed suspect fled into nearby desert acreage and attempted to hide from deputies. Additional resources responded which included the Crisis Negotiation Team, an airship, Arson/Explosives, and a team from Special Enforcement Bureau. After an approximate 7 hour stand-off, Suspect Bunge was arrested without incident.
He was transported to the Lancaster Station Jail and booked on several felony charges including Attempted Murder, Robbery, and Felon In Possession of a Firearm.
