Narrative:
On September 2, 2016, at approximately 11:50 am, the Thousand Oaks Police Department, Ventura County Fire Department and AMR Ambulance responded to Triunfo Canyon Road east of Westlake Boulevard in reference to an injury traffic collision.
Mr. Heller was driving a Lincoln sedan and was traveling westbound on Triunfo Canyon Road approaching Westlake Boulevard when it struck the back of a mini-van which was also westbound on Triunfo Canyon Road. The mini-van, driven by Ms. Anders, was pushed up and over the center median and came to rest in the eastbound lanes on Triunfo Canyon Road. The Lincoln came to rest on top the center median. Each vehicle was occupied only by its driver.
Ms. Anders was treated at the scene for her injuries and released. Mr. Heller was transported to Los Robles Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The initial investigation suggests Mr. Heller may of have had a medical emergency causing the collision.
The collision is still under investigation by the Thousand Oaks Police Traffic Bureau. Anyone who might have witnessed the collision or is aware of anyone that might have been involved in the collision, is asked to contact the Thousand Oaks Police Department at (805) 494-8271.
