Long Beach Twp Office of Emergency Management is continuing to monitor Tropical Storm Hermine. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect. Be advised that Sunday into late Monday/early Tuesday our area will see the affects of Hermine. High winds and coastal flooding is probable, Please secure any items that might be blown away by winds or carried away by flood tides. Also be aware that during those times mentioned above, traveling may become difficult. Be sure that you have enough food/water and be prepared for the POSSIBILTY of power outages.
This weekend beachgoers should be aware of ripcurrents, rough surf and should be cautious of the RED warning flags posted by lifeguards.
