Minor impacts for North Brunswick from Tropical Storm Hermine expected over the Labor Day weekend.

The North Brunswick Office of Emergency Management advises residents that the impacts from Tropical Storm Hermine are expected to be minor in the township over the Labor Day weekend.

At this time, the majority of the rain will be south and east of the area. A few outer rain bands may move in with preliminary total amounts predicted to be less than an inch.

While the weekend will be windy with sustained winds at 15-30 miles per hour, the strongest winds should be at the Jersey Shore or over the ocean, with the highest wind gusts in our area primarily in the 35-45 mph range. The best chance for these gusts is from Sunday night into Monday.

Although the impact will likely be minor, it is best to check on the latest forecasts. We will be monitoring the conditions over the weekend and provide an update if warranted.
