The El Cerrito Police Department needs your help identifying a package thief (report #16-17034). 
On August 30, 2016, an ECPD patrol officer responded to a residence on the 2600 block of Arlington Boulevard for the report of a package theft. The victim reported at 1427 hours, an unidentified suspect removed a package belonging to them from their porch. The entire theft was captured on a video recording system which was installed by the homeowners.
The suspect is described as an Asian or other race male, approximately 5'6", tall, and 160 pounds with a thin mustache. The suspect was wearing gold sunglasses, a blue Nike shirt with the word "Beast" printed on the front, and blue jeans. The video also shows a yellow lanyard and possible identification badge worn around the suspect's neck. It is possible that the suspect was operating as a door to door solicitor and may have had contact with other homeowner in the area.
