Police Blotter August 22nd to August 25th

August 22

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave/Potrero Ave:
An officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 26 year old male from Rodeo for two outstanding warrants.

Driving Under the Influence – 5900 block of Cutting Blvd:
An officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested 24 year old male from Pinole for driving under the influence.

Out aid – El Cerrito Plaza:
Officers were dispatched to an attempted armed robbery that occurred on the BART path at Fairmount. The victim stated the robbery occurred on the BART path at Brighton in Albany. An officer located one of the suspects attempting to rob a person on a bike. The suspect fled on foot and was apprehended in the El Cerrito Plaza shopping center. Two El Cerrito officers located the second suspect, a male juvenile from Richmond, hiding in the delivery dock of a nearby business.

Assaulting a Police Officer; Resisting Arrest – 6060 Central Ave:
An officer was dispatched for an unwanted patron in the business. A 35 year old female from El Cerrito struck the officer in the side after he attempted to escort her from the business. The woman was taken into custody and then transported to the county jail.

August 23

Battery- 2500 block of Alva Avenue:
At 1808 hours, an officer responded to a 911 disconnect. Prior to disconnecting, the caller advised her father was being assaulted. Officers arrived on scene and contacted the victim who stated his eldest daughter’s boyfriend, a 29 year old male from El Cerrito, had punched him after he told him to leave the residence. When the father attempted to call 911, his eldest daughter pulled the phone line from the wall. As the male was leaving the residence he threw a wicker basket at the father, striking him. The male then fled the area.

Possession of a Controlled Substance- Stockton Avenue/Ashbury Avenue:
At 2033 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the passenger, a 47 year old male from Concord, for being in possession of a controlled substance. The male was booked and released.

Possession of a Controlled Substance- Potrero Avenue/S. 56th Street:
At 2224 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 31 year old female from Richmond for being in possession of a controlled substance. The female was booked and released on a citation.

Driving Under the Influence- San Diego Street/Belmont Avenue:
At 0143 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, a 43 year old male from Albany, for DUI. The male was booked and released on a citation.

August 24

Battery- 500 block of Lexington Avenue:
At 1844 hours, an officer responded to the residence and reports the victim and his brother, a 48 year old male, got into a verbal argument. The male then demanded he and the victim go outside so they could fight. The victim refused and went to brush his teeth. As he was doing so the male sucker punched him and then left the residence before units arrived.

Driving Under the Influence- Carlson Boulevard/Fairmount Avenue:
At 0015 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, a 34 year old male from Vallejo, for DUI. The male was booked and then released on a citation.

Warrant Arrest- 11600 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 0239 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 23 year old female from Oakland and a 33 year old male from Sacramento. Both subjects had outstanding warrants for their arrests.

August 25

Warrant Arrest- 11500 block of San Pablo Ave:
At 1123 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 28 year old female from Richmond for several outstanding warrants.
