Woman arrested for leaving 3 month old infant son in vehicle while she shopped at Walmart 
On Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at approximately 6:48 PM, Palm Springs Police Department officers were dispatched to a report of an infant left unattended in a vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart for approximately twenty minutes. Officers arrived and located the infant inside a vehicle that had been left running with the air conditioning on. The baby, a three month old male, was not in distress and is now in the care of the Palm Springs Police Department until the child can be released to a responsible party. The investigation revealed that the infant’s mother left the child unattended in the vehicle while she went into Walmart to shop. She was contacted at the scene and arrested for Child Endangerment.
