On Wednesday, August 24, 2016, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives learned the three missing children were located in a motel on the outskirts of Albuquerque, New Mexico.  The suspects left the children in the care of a Good Samaritan who in turn notified local law enforcement. 

Rylee, Brayden, and Joslynn are now safe with authorities.  We will be coordinating our efforts with the Department of Children and Family Services to arrange for the safe return of the children to California. 

The Suspects are still on the run and believed to be eastbound from Albuquerque toward neighboring states.  In addition, investigators have learned that Joshua Robertson has an infant minor child in his care.  The child is not related to the three located missing children.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a female adult who was discovered in a remote area along Gorman Post Road, just north of the 138 Freeway, unincorporated Lebec, on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 4:57 p.m.

Homicide detectives have learned that a passing motorist saw the victim lying in the brush after making a momentary rest stop during a long drive.  The victim, a female in her 20’s, appeared to be unconscious, prompting the motorist to call 9-1-1.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and discovered that the victim had suffered trauma to her head.  She was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim is unknown at this time and the exact cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.

The investigation is on-going and there is no additional information available at this time.
