August 8th

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave/Cutting Blvd:
An Officer reported the arrest of a 47 year old Richmond woman on two outstanding DUI warrants during a pedestrian stop on San Pablo Ave @ Cutting Blvd. The subject was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.

Public intoxication, Possession of a controlled substance – San Pablo Ave/Huntington Ave:
At approximately 0220 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop on a 35-year-old Richmond man and found that he was extremely intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The man was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility. During a search of his property, the officer located cocaine.

August 9th

Petty Theft – 11450 San Pablo Ave:
An Officer responded to a shoplifting that just occurred at Safeway and located the suspect on San Pablo Ave near Cutting Blvd. The 21 year old Richmond man was identified as the responsible and placed under Citizen’s Arrest. He was released on a citation.

Petty Theft 1400 block of Elm St:
An Officer reported an unknown suspect stole a package from the victim’s porch ($40). The theft occurred on 8/8/16 between 1430-1630 hours.

Assault – 11785 San Pablo Ave:
At 1840 hours, officers were dispatched to the location after a 49-year-old Richmond man confronted an employee and attempted to strike her with a portable radio. The man was arrested and booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. Following booking, the man was released.

Auto burglary – 10598 San Pablo Ave:
At 1940 hours, two suspects smashed the rear window of the victim’s vehicle and stole a backpack. Suspect 1 is described as a black male adult, 6’, 180, wearing a beige sweater, blue jeans, and red and white shoes. Suspect 2 is described as a black male adult, 6’, 180, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, with long dreadlocked hair.

Auto burglary – 11896 San Pablo Ave:
Between 1900 and 2000 hours, an unknown suspect shattered the rear window of the victim’s vehicle and stole a laptop.

Public intoxication – San Pablo Ave/Fairmount Ave:
At 2242 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop on a 63-year old Albany man and a 75-year-old Oakland man. Both were found to be extremely intoxicated and unable to care for themselves. They were arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of paraphernalia,
Parole violation – San Pablo Ave/Gilman Ave:
At 0152 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested a 59-year-old Berkeley man for possession of crack cocaine and a glass pipe. These charges violated the man’s condition of parole. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

August 10th

Warrant arrest – San Pablo Ave/Tehama Ave:
At 2352 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 28-year-old San Francisco man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

August 11th

Public intoxication – BART Path/Fairmount Ave:
An Officer arrested a 55-year-old Richmond man for public intoxication and consuming alcohol in public. Officers have had numerous call and contacts regarding a group of individuals drinking on the BART Path just south of Fairmount Ave. The subject was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Possession of a controlled substance – 6009 Potrero Ave:
At 0022 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver, a 40-year-old Richmond woman for possession of methamphetamine. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.
