AVOID the 1500 block of El Camino Real due to a gas line rupture. Roads closed between Shoreline and El Monte. 
TRAFFIC ALERT: During construction this morning, a gas line was ruptured in the 1500 blk of El Camino Real. As a result, El Camino Real is CLOSED in both directions between Shoreline Blvd. and El Monte Ave. During the incident a power transformer was also knocked out. As a result, there is a power outage in the same area. PG&E is en route to address the gas line break as well as the power outage. Mountain View Police and Fire units are on scene and the situation is contained. Traffic is expected to be severely impacted on El Camino so please avoid the area and choose alternate routes for the next few hours.
