UPDATE - SWAT Standoff in Santee Over 
A SWAT standoff in Santee in the 9900 block of Woodglen Vista Drive is now over. Deputies found the body of the suspect inside the home. The cause of death is under investigation.

If you live in Santee, be aware of increased law enforcement activity in your area.
A SWAT Standoff is underway in the 9900 block of Woodglen Vista Drive. Deputies were called to the home just after 2:00 p.m. after reports of a family dispute. A man is holed up inside the home possibly armed with weapons.
Deputies from the Santee Sheriff's Station, Lakeside Sheriff's Substation, Special Enforcement Detail (SED/SWAT) and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) are working to resolve the situation in a peaceful manner.
You might hear a Sheriff's Helicopter or ASTREA flying overhead and patrol cars making announcements urging the suspect to surrender peacefully.
