South Bound Brook Man Killed in Two Vehicle Accident in Clinton Township

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John Kuczynski and Clinton Township Police Lieutenant/O.I.C. Douglas Higgins announced a joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Accident Investigation Unit, the Clinton Township Police Department and the New Jersey State Police Accident Investigation Unit into a crash involving a motor vehicle and a motorcycle which resulted in the death of a South Bound Brook man.

According to Kearns, "Kevin McMorrow, age 33, of South Bound Brook, was killed when his motorcycle collided with an SUV at the intersection of Main Street in Lebanon and Route 22 East, Clinton Township. The SUV was operated by a motorist, age 28, of Lebanon." Prosecutor Kearns stated, "My condolences go out to the family, loved ones and friends of Mr. McMorrow as well as the members of the Country Hills Volunteer Fire Department ."

Mr. McMorrow was a volunteer member of the Country Hills Fire Department in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Emergency crews from Annandale and Lebanon Fire responded as well as White House Rescue Squad and Paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center.

Prosecutor Kearns stated, " It is important for every motorist on the roadway to be aware that motorcycles share the road with us, especially during the summer months. Because of a motorcycles narrow profile it can easily be hidden in a cars blind side or masked by objects."

There are a lot more trucks and cars than motorcycles on the road, and some drivers don't "recognize" a motorcycle - they ignore it, usually unintentionally, according to the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.

This is an active investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office Accident Investigation Unit or the Clinton Township Police Department.
