On Tuesday, August 2, 2016, neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles County are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the 33rd Annual “National Night Out” crime and drug prevention event.  

On August 2, 2016, residents in neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles County and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and law enforcement.  Listed below are the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department patrol stations that will be hosting or participating in various activities in their respective station areas.  

​Although the official date for National Night Out is on the 2nd of August, some stations have scheduled their Community Night Out on different dates as indicated below.

NORTH PATROL DIVISION

Lancaster Station – Unincorporated Area of Lake Los Angeles

On August 2, 2016, Lancaster Station and the Unincorporated Area of Lake Los Angeles will be hosting National Night Out from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Sorenson Park (16801 E. Avenue P, Lake Los Angeles).  Community members will be able to visit and talk to the community relations staff on the latest crime trends, statistics, and learn strategies to address crime in the area. .  For more information, please contact Sergeant Theresa Dawson at

Lancaster Station – Unincorporated Area of Antelope Acres

On August 2, 2016, Lancaster Station and the Unincorporated Area of Antelope Acres will be hosting National Night Out from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Antelope Acres Community Center (8812 W. Lancaster Station – City of Lancaster

On August 4, 2016, Lancaster Station, city of Lancaster will be hosting its annual National Night Out from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in conjunction with the local Farmer’s Market along Lancaster Boulevard.  The cross streets for the event are Ehrilich Avenue and Kettering Street.  Lancaster Boulevard will be cordoned off for the event, which is sponsored by the City of Lancaster and will include LASD show cars and an LASD booth.  For more information, please contact Sergeant Theresa Dawson at (661) 948-8466 or Deputy Josh Stamsek at (661) 940-3832.

Malibu/Lost Hills Station

On August 2, 2016, Lost Hills Station will be hosting its annual National Night Out from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on the cul de sac block of America Way and Declaration Avenue in the Mulwood area of Calabasas.  All Calabasas residents are invited to attend this event and encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, food, and beverages.  For more information, please contact Deputy Michael Woodard at (818) 878-1808.

Palmdale Station

On July 28, 2016, Palmdale Station will host a National Night Out celebration at Domenic Massari Park (37716 55th Street East, Palmdale) from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Throughout the month of August, many neighborhoods will be hosting special events such as block parties and Neighborhood Watch group gatherings with Sheriff’s deputies and the city’s crime prevention staff.  For more information, please contact Sergeant Andrew Nagel at (661) 272-2520.

Santa Clarita Valley Station

On July 30, 2016, Santa Clarita Valley Station will be participating with the city of Santa Clarita at the “Concert at the Park.”  The location is Central Park (27150 Bouquet Canyon Road) in the city of Santa Clarita with a starting time of 5:00 p.m.  The city of Santa Clarita will also announce and present a “National Night Out” proclamation.  For more information, please contact Deputy Fanny Lampkin at (661) 255-1121.

West Hollywood Station

CENTRAL PATROL DIVISION

Avalon Station

On August 2, 2016, Avalon Station will be observing National Night Out by having “McGruff the Crime Dog” and a deputy sheriff walk along Front Street during the early evening hours from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  For more information, please contact Captain Doug Fetteroll at (310) 510-0174.

Century Station – Unincorporated Los Angeles Firestone

On August 2, 2016, Century Station will be celebrating National Night Out from

Century Station – City of Lynwood

On August 2, 2016, Century Station, city of Lynwood, will be celebrating National Night Out at the Yvonne Burke-John D. Compton Station

East Los Angeles Station – Unincorporated Area

On August 2, 2016, East Los Angeles Station will be celebrating National Night Out at Belvedere Park (4914 East Cesar Chavez Avenue, East Los Angeles).  There will be safety booths and giveaways for the community.

Marina Del Rey Station

On August 2, 2016, Marina Del Rey Station personnel and the Community Advisory Council will celebrate National Night Out at the Ladera Center (5357 West Centinela Avenue, Los Angeles) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Citizens from the communities of Ladera Heights, View Park, and Windsor Hills will be in attendance.  

South Los Angeles Station

On August 2, 2016, South Los Angeles Station will be celebrating National Night Out at the Ocean Gate Baptist Church (13443 Ocean Gate Avenue, Hawthorne).  There will be a jumper, face painting, free BBQ dinner, and giveaways from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  For more information, please contact Deputy Bruce McCall at (323) 242-8784.

 

SOUTH PATROL DIVISION

Carson Station

On August 3, 2016, Carson Station will be celebrating National Night Out from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with a community gathering at the station (21356 S. Cerritos Station

Lakewood Station – City of Bellflower

Lakewood Station – City of Hawaiian Gardens

On August 2, 2016, Lakewood Station, city of Hawaiian Gardens will host their National Night Out from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The event will begin with a peace walk starting at City Hall (21815 Pioneer Boulevard, Hawaiian Gardens), ending at the Public Safety Center (11940 Carson Street, Hawaiian Gardens).  .  For more information, contact Linda Suniga at (562) 420-2641 ext. 235.

Norwalk Station – Unincorporated Area of Whittier

On August 2, 2016, Norwalk Station will be celebrating National Night Out in the unincorporated area of Whittier with a “March and Rally against Crime.”  The march will assemble at 5:30 p.m. at the Community Resource Center (10750 Laurel Avenue, Whittier) and begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.  The march will conclude at Amelia Mayberry Park (13201 E. Norwalk Station – City of La Mirada

Altadena Station

Crescenta Valley Station

On August 2, 2016, Crescenta Valley Station will be celebrating National Night Out from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Crescenta Valley Station (4554 Briggs Avenue, La Crescenta).  California Highway Patrol and Fire Department personnel will be present, along with community partners, local business, and community leaders. Industry Station – Unincorporated Area of Valinda

Temple Station – Temple City

Temple Station – City of South El Monte

On August 4, 2016, Temple Station and the city of South El Monte will celebrate National Night Out from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Mary Van Dyke Park (1819 Central Avenue, South El Monte).  The event will be a community movie in the park.

Temple Station – Duarte

On August 2, 2016, Temple Station and the city of Duarte will be hosting their National Night Out from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at Encanto Park (751 Encanto Parkway, Duarte).  The event was coordinated by the City of Duarte Public Safety, in conjunction with the Duarte Special Assignment Deputies.  For more information, please contact Aida Torres at (626) 357-7938 ext. 316.

Walnut / Diamond Bar Station

LASD Metro Services  - Transit Policing Division

On August 2, 2016,Partnering with the Los Angeles County Metro Los Angeles, Sheriff’s Transit deputies, security assistants and volunteers, will set up at several Metro locations, on several different Metro lines, to interact with Metro patrons, hand out safety material, and advise those interested in career opportunities with the LASD and Metro.
