Back River Road will be closed to thru traffic most of today due to an earlier motor vehicle accident in the area of #48 which resulted in downed power lines.
Use an alternate route to get around the area. Eversource Energy is working on getting power restored via a temporary pole set up while environmental clean up crews disposal of some hazardous material which spilled from damaged transformers.
Please use caution in this area as the power outage has effected the traffic signals on Bedford Road at Exit 12 / Back River Road.
