July 22nd:

Grand Theft - Marshall’s - 10794 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1651 hours, an officer responded to the report of a theft. A group of retail theft suspects have returned stolen merchandise to Marshall’s in exchange for gift cards. The returns occurred on June 30th, July 1st and July 2nd. The total loss in El Cerrito was over $8000.

Shoplift, Public Intoxication – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1834 hours, Officers responded to Safeway regarding a theft. A 29 year old male suspect from Richmond stole alcohol and was contacted by loss prevention. He returned the stolen merchandise and was walking to the back of the store with loss prevention when he decided to make a run for it. He was caught and physically detained until PD arrived and placed under citizen arrest. He was heavily intoxicated, booked at the ECPD, and then released to AMR on a signed promise to appear.

Warrant – Arlington Blvd / Moeser Lane:
At 2251 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 23 year old man from Richmond on a no cite Contra Costa County warrant. He was booked at the El Cerrito PD and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

DUI – Potrero Ave / Richmond St:
At 2313 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 56 year old man from El Cerrito for DUI. He was released on a citation after being booked at the ECPD.

DUI – Arlington Blvd / Brewster Dr:
At 0123 hours, an officer contacted a 39 year old man from Richmond as he drove through the DUI checkpoint. The man was arrested for DUI, booked at the ECPD, and cite released.

Burglary Tools – Central Ave / Jacuzzi St:
At 0148 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 39 year old female from Richmond for possession of burglary tools. She was booked and released on a citation.
 
July 23rd:

Possession of Personal Identifying Information and a Switchblade – BART path at Hill St.:
At 0717 hours, an officer contacted five subjects loitering and consuming alcoholic beverages. A 35 year old Martinez man was found to be in possession of checks, mail and tax returns belonging to other people. He was also in possession of switchblade knife. He was arrested, booked and released on a citation.

Driving on a Suspended license, Personal Identifying Information and Drug paraphernalia. - Barrett Ave at McLaughlin Ave. –
At 0911 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop. The driver, a 52 year old El Cerrito woman was found to be driving on a suspended license. She was also on Post Community Supervision. She was found in possession of controlled substance smoking pipes and another person’s driver’s license and credit cards. She was arrested, booked and released on a citation.

Stolen Vehicle – 5300 block Rosalind Ave:
At 0957 hours, an officer responded to the report of a stolen Honda CRV. The theft occurred between 7/22 2000 hours to 7/23 0950 hours.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery - Hillside Ave at Rosalind Ave:
At 1057 hours, an officer located an unoccupied stolen Honda Civic.

Grand Theft from Auto – 11700 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1210 hours, an officer responded to the report of a theft from auto. Sometime in the last two weeks, an unidentified suspect stole electronics, clothing and other items from an unlocked vehicle.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery – Junction Ave at Knott Ave.
At 1238 hours an officer located an unoccupied stolen Honda Civic. Officer Perales located a parked/unoccupied white Honda Civic.

DUI – San Pablo Ave / Carlson Blvd:
At 2241 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 34 year old man from Richmond for DUI. He was booked at the ECPD and released on a citation.
 
Warrant – 8600 Block Terrace Drive:
At 0003 hours, Officers arrested a 28 year old transient male on a no bail Contra Costa Warrant. He was booked at the ECPD and then transported to county jail.

DUI – San Pablo Ave / Macdonald Ave
At 0103 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 29 year old man from San Pablo for DUI. He was booked at the ECPD and then released on a signed promise to appear.

July 24th:

Warrant Arrest - San Pablo Ave. / Knott Ave.:
At 1259 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop. The officer arrested a passenger, a 44 year old Richmond man for an outstanding DUI warrant. He was booked and transported to the MDF.

Robbery - San Pablo Ave. / Potrero Avenue:
At 1257 hours, an officer responded to the report of a robbery. At approximately 2000 hours the previous night, the victim was walking home along San Pablo Avenue engrossed in his Pokeman game. He was confronted by two black males in their twenties both wearing ski masks who pulled his backpack off. The suspects fled in a white car.

Warrant – 10602 San Pablo Ave:
At 2238 hours, officers arrested a 59 year old female from Crockett on a no bail Contra Costa County warrant. She was booked at the El Cerrito PD and then transported to county jail.
