The Montebello Police Department is proud to announce the official launch of the “2016 Pink Patch Project.” An innovative campaign designed to increase public awareness about breast cancer and to raise funds for the fight against the disease.

The #PinkPatchProject is a collaborative effort between the Los Angeles County Police Chiefs’ Association (LACPCA) and 25 law enforcement agencies throughout Los Angeles County.  The program centers on vibrant pink versions of the agency’s uniform patches.  Officers from the participating agencies will be wearing these pink patches on their uniforms during “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” in October.  The pink patches are intended to stimulate conversation within the community and to encourage public awareness in the early detection and fight against this disease. We anticipate a tremendous amount of support and interaction from our community.

As part of this program, we will be selling our commemorative pink patches to the community, along with pink patch T-shirts.  Proceeds from the sale of these commemorative #PinkPatchProject items will go to fund breast cancer education research and treatment.

Pink patches and t-shirts can be purchased at the Montebello Police Department through the month of October.  We will also have a booth at National Night Out where patches and shirts can be purchased as well.
