Heat Advisory Issued for Hamilton County on Friday and Saturday as Heat Index of 105 Degree Expected.
The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Hamilton County and most of Indiana and much of the midwest, effective Friday at 10:00a.m. until Saturday at 6:00p.m. High temperatures in the 90's along with high humidity and dew points will result in a heat index of 105 degrees or higher. A Heat Advisory means conditions create a situation in which heat related illnesses are possible.
During a Heat Advisory, drink plenty of water, try to remain in an air conditioned environment, stay out of the sun, and check on the elderly, children, and pets who are susceptible to illnesses from extreme temperatures. Call 911 for assistance if you suspect a heat related illness.
