Full Notification

The Police Department was contacted today by numerous  citizens who had their unlocked vehicles rifled through, and in some instances, items stolen.  This was not in one particular area but on several different streets, both north and south areas of town.  A subject (white female, 40-50 years, thin build, pink shirt, black pants, black handbag, possibly carrying a white sweater) was seen removing property from a vehicle this morning.  It appears the incidents occurred overnight; however, one victim advised it could have been any time from Saturday night until this morning.  Citizens are urged not to keep any property of value  in their vehicles and keep their vehicles locked.  If any suspicious activity is seen, please notify the Police Department as soon as possible.
