Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate a shooting that left one man dead and two other men injured at a party on Saturday evening.

Detectives report that at approximately 10:20 p.m., Lakewood Station deputies responded to the 18000 block of Alburtis Avenue, Artesia, regarding a “Gunshot Victim” Call. When they arrived they discovered three Hispanic men suffering from gunshot wounds.  Detectives learned four unknown men arrived at a graduation party in the rear yard of the location.  During the party, a confrontation ensued which resulted in the shooting of the three victims. 

One victim sustained gunshot wounds to his upper torso and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The other two shooting victims were transported to a local hospital and remain in fair condition. 

There is no suspect information and the motive for the shooting is unknown.

There is no additional information at this time and the investigation is on-going.

NARRATIVE:

Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are enroute to the 18000 Block of Alburtis Avenue, Artesia, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of one man and wounding of two other men. 

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and two other victims were transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
