ECPD Police Blotter July 8th to 11th

July 8th:

Shoplifter / Warrant - 11450 San Pablo Avenue:
At 0708 hours, officers responded to the report of a suspicious person at Safeway. A 44 year old Oakland man was found to have shoplifted various medications, a sandwich and a book and had an outstanding robbery warrant. He was arrested, booked and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility on the warrant.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - 11450 San Pablo Avenue:
At 0845 hours, an officer responded to the report of a subject trying on socks in the Safeway. A 32 year old Richmond man was located on Blake Street. He was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe. He was booked and cite released.

Residential Burglary - 1000 block of Villa Nueva Dr:
At 0916 hours, an officer responded to the report of a residential burglary. In between 07-05-2016 at 1000 and 07-06-2016 at 0700 hours, an unidentified suspect pried off the lock box of this house under remodel and accessed the front door. The loss was several thousand dollars worth of tools.

Stolen Automobile - Belmont Ave. / San Diego St:
At 1014 hours, an officer responded to the report of the theft of white 1992 Honda Accord. The theft occurred between 1700 hours on 07/07/16 and 0900 hours on 07/08/16.

Methamphetamine Possession / Warrant Arrest - Blake Street / BART Path
At 1143 hours, an officer contacted a 52 year old San Francisco man. He was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant. He also had approximately ½ gram of methamphetamine and a pipe. He was booked and cited.

Disorderly Conduct – 11430 San Pablo Avenue:
Officers responded to the report of two intoxicated subjects causing a disturbance in Safeway. They two subjects fled the store and ducked into Supercuts where they caused a disturbance, throwing items at the staff. When located by the officers, they tried to flee. Both subjects, a 25 year old Richmond resident and a 38 year old Hercules resident were detained.

Grand Theft – 1700 block Lexington Ave:
On 7/7/16 between 1630 and 1645 hours, the victim parked his truck in his driveway and went inside leaving it unlocked. When he returned to his truck 15 minutes later he found his computer bag containing an iPad, firearm, and checkbook stolen. **Please do not leave any item in your unattended vehicle. **

Possess Controlled Substance for Sales and Paraphernalia – Walgreens, 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 1956 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 30 year old man from Richmond for possession of a controlled substance for sales and a glass pipe. He was booked at the ECPD and then transported to county jail.

Warrant, Possess Controlled Substance – Walgreens, 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 0044 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 56 year old Richmond man on a no-cite Contra Costa County warrant. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamines during a search incident to arrest. He was booked at the ECPD, cited on the new charges, and then transported to Martinez Detention Facility on the warrant.

July 9th
Stolen Automobile - 7200 block of Gladys Ave:
At 1318 hours, an officer responded to the report of a stolen vehicle. An unidentified suspect stole a green 2000 Honda CRV in between 1200 and 1300 hours.

Residential Burglary – 2600 block Carquinez Ave:
Sometime between 1800 and 2240 hours, and unknown suspect broke the rear sliding glass door and entered the residence. The suspect conducted a minor ransack and stole cash, various personal items, and paperwork with the victim’s personal identifying information.

Possess Controlled Substance, False Personating, Warrant – Central Ave / Yolo Ave:
At 0441 hours, an officer investigated a suspicious vehicle and arrested a 37 year old man from Hayward for possession of methamphetamines. The man identified himself as another person but his true identity was determined in booking and he was found to be wanted on a Contra Costa County warrant. He was booked at the ECPD and then transported to county jail.

July 10th:
DUI – I-80 / Highway 4:
At 2103 hours, an officer was en route to Martinez when he observed an obviously impaired driver and initiated a traffic stop. The 22 year old female driver from Sacramento was arrested for DUI, booked at the ECPD, and released on a citation.

Warrant (X3) – San Pablo Ave / MacDonald Ave:
At 2303 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 44 year old female from San Pablo on three outstanding Contra Costa County warrants. She was booked at ECPD and then transported to Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrants – San Pablo Ave / Knott Ave
At 0055 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 39 year old male passenger from Fairfield for an outstanding Contra Costa County Warrants. He was booked at ECPD and released on a citation.

Stolen Vehicle, Evading, Resisting, and Obstructing- Arlington Blvd/Mcbryde St

At 0356 hours, officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a green Honda CRV. The CRV led the officers on a short pursuit, but was involved in a collision into a parked vehicle and a residential fence. Both occupants, a 26 year old male and a 27 year old male from Oakland, fled from the vehicle, but were both apprehended by the officers. The CRV was reported stolen to the Richmond Police Department.

The driver was sent to the Martinez Detention Facility and Passenger was cited and released to AMR who transported him to the county hospital for complaints of pain.
