July 1st

Trespass – 7100 Block Eureka Ave:
At 1523 hours, officers responded to the report of a trespassing. Four juvenile subjects forced entry into an abandoned residence and were taken into custody. All four were detained, booked, and released to their parents on juvenile affidavits.

Vandalism – Tehiyah Day School, 6305 Barrett Ave:
Between 6/21/16 and 7/1/16 at 1000 hours, an unidentified suspect broke a pane to a French door. It does not appear as if entry was made.

Driving Under the Influence of an Alcoholic Beverage – San Pablo Ave / Manila Ave:
At 0014 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 32 year old female from San Leandro for DUI. She was booked at the ECPD and released on a citation.

Driving Under the Influence of an Alcoholic Beverage – McDonald’s, 11821 San Pablo Ave:
At 0115 hours, Officers responded to a person asleep in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the drive through. The 24 year old female driver from Richmond was arrested for DUI, booked at the El Cerrito PD, and released on a citation.

July 2nd
Vandalism – 1600 block Arlington Blvd:
An unknown suspect keyed the victims 2014 Hyundai causing 360 degrees of damage to the paint. The incident occurred sometime between July 1st at 0500 hours to July 2nd 1000 hours.

Possess Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia – 900 block Seaview Drive:
At 2125 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 52 year old man from Pinole for possession of methamphetamines and a pipe. He was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.

DUI – Carlson Blvd / Van Fleet:
At 0046 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the 48 year old male driver from Richmond for DUI. He was booked at the ECPD and cited.

July 3rd
Possess Controlled Substance, Burglary Tools, Warrant – I-80 near Carlson Blvd:

An officer conducted a traffic stop. A 28 year old male passenger was wanted on a felony parole violation warrant and in possession of methamphetamine. A 29 year old female passenger was found to be in possession of two meth pipes and methamphetamines. A 58 year old male passenger was found to be in possession of burglary tools. All were arrested and booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. The 28 year old male was taken to the Martinez Detention Facility. Everyone else was released on a citation.

Identity Theft – Dylans Way:
Officers conducted a parole check and located items consistent with identity theft. The 41 year old female suspect eluded capture.

Stolen Vehicle – 1700 Block Elm Street:
Between 07-02-16 at 1300 hours and 07-03-2016 hours at 1200 hours, an unidentified suspect stole a green 1997 Honda Accord.

Possess Drug Paraphernalia, Trespass – Dylans Way:
At 1859 hours, Officers conducted a security check of the residence and found a 37 year old male inside the yellow tagged house. He was in possession of a glass pipe. He was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then released on a citation.

Driving under the Influence of an Alcoholic Beverage – Central Ave / Carlson Blvd:
At 2053 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the 62 year old female driver for DUI. She was booked at the ECPD and released on a citation.

Felony DUI, DUI Probation Violation – San Pablo Ave / Lincoln Ave:
At 0219 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 58 year old male driver for DUI. He was on DUI probation, driving on a license suspended for DUI, and had three prior DUI convictions in the past 10 years. He was booked and the El Cerrito PD and transported to county jail.

July 4th
Robbery – Trader Joe’s, 225 EC Plaza:
At 1337 hours, officers responded to the report of a theft. Suspect-1, a black male in his 20s, red jacket, black pants, red beanie, heavy set and Suspect-2, blue jacket, blue jeans, thin, and also in his 20s, stole $400 in alcohol. Store employees followed them out into the parking lot to a 2000s tan Toyota Camry with no plates. Suspect-1 threatened to shoot the employees. The vehicle fled south onto San Pablo Avenue.

DUI – Potrero Ave / San Pablo Ave:
At 2005 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the 37 year old from Richmond for DUI. He was booked at the ECPD and cited.

Warrant – Central / Carlson Blvd:
At 2214 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 56 year old man from Richmond on a Contra Costa County warrant. He was booked at the ECPD and cited.

Evading – Richmond St / Gladys Ave:
At 0222 hours, an officer attempted a traffic stop on a Silver Ford Escape. The vehicle fled and led the officer on a pursuit northbound through the city until he lost the vehicle in the area of Poinsett Ave and Ludwig Ave. The vehicle was later located unoccupied in East Richmond Heights.
