ECPD Police Blotter June 24th to June 26th

June 24th:

Disorderly Conduct - 11565 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1348 hours, officers responded to the report of a drunken subject urinating in public at Walgreens. A 58 year old El Cerrito man was found in the Sketchers lot, heavily intoxicated and barely able to walk. His blood alcohol content was so high, he required a medical detoxification.

Shoplifter – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1729 hours, officers responded to the report of shoplifter in custody who was resisting the detention efforts of store security personnel. A 40 year old Richmond woman was detained by officers and placed under citizen's arrest and booked in to the Contra Costa County Detention Facility.

16 – 11964: Warrant Arrest - San Pablo Ave and Eastshore Blvd

At 2212 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested one of the passengers, a 22 year old male from Richmond, for an outstanding warrant. The male was booked and then transported to county jail.

16 - 11966: Possession of a controlled substance, paraphernalia:

At 2236 hours, an officer was dispatched to a welfare check after a male called to report he was being followed by vehicles. The officer located a 26 year old male from Richmond, and believed he was under the influence. The officer asked him if he had any contraband on his person and the male stated he had a pipe used for smoking controlled substances in his vehicle. A police K9 was used to conduct an exterior and interior sniff of the vehicle and alerted to a canvass bag in the trunk of the vehicle. The officer searched the bag and located a case for glasses, containing 1.1 grams of controlled substance, a glass smoking pipe and 10 medical pills. The male was booked and released.

16-11975: Warrant Arrest – Central Ave and I-80

At 0149 hours an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, a male adult from Oakland, for an outstanding Alameda County warrant. At the conclusion of booking, the male was taken to the Contra Costa County detention facility.

June 25th:
Shoplifter - 1000 EC Plaza:
At 0748 hours, officers responded to the report of a shoplifter at Lucky’s. A 31 year old transient subject selected a bottle of vodka and hid it in his bag. He was told multiple times by the manager to put the item back. He was located by responding officers and placed under citizen’s arrest. He was booked and released on a citation.

Possession of a Controlled - San Pablo Ave and Knott Ave

At 1901 hours, an officer was dispatched to unwanted person at 11740 San Pablo Avenue. An officer arrived in the area and located the subject, a 43 year old male from Richmond. During the contact the male was found to be in possession of a controlled substance.

Possession for Sales and Transportation – San Pablo Ave and Potrero Ave

At 1930 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the driver, a 26 year old male from Richmond, after discovering he was in possession of 25 grams of a controlled substance, a scale, a large quantity of small baggies and a large amount of cash in several denominations. The male was booked and transported to county jail.

Possession of a Controlled Substance – San Pablo Ave and Cutting Blvd

At 2303 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and subsequently arrested a 32 year old male from Richmond, for being in possession of a controlled substance. The male was booked and then released on a citation.

16 – 12024: Warrant Arrest – I-80 and Solano Ave

At 2354 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the passenger a 48 year old male from Richmond, for an outstanding no bail warrant. The male was booked and transported to county jail.

Driving under the influence, Driving with a suspended license and Possession of a Controlled Substance. – Richmond St and Stockton Ave

At 0128 hours, officers observed two vehicles commit violations one after another. Officers stopped the vehicles and subsequently arrested a 26 year old female and a 27 year old female, both from Berkeley. Both females were arrested for driving under the Influence of an alcoholic beverage. During a search of one of their vehicle’s officers located a controlled substance. The females were booked and then cited to a family member. **If you decide to drink an alcoholic beverage, please designate a sober driver**

16- 12034: 243(e)1 PC – San Pablo Ave and Knott Ave

At 0146 hours, BART officers were flagged down regarding a dispute. El Cerrito officers arrived on scene and discovered that a 36 year old female from Richmond assaulted her boyfriend during an altercation. The female was booked and then cited.

June 26th

Auto Theft - 8100 block of Terrace Dr:
At 1103 hours, an officer responded to the report of an auto theft. A blue 1994 Honda Accord, was stolen sometime between 2100 and 0900 hours.

Warrant Arrest – Potrero Ave and S.56th St

At 2254 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, a 40 year old male form Richmond, for an outstanding warrant. The male was booked and then transported to county jail.
