The North Brunswick Office of Emergency Management advises residents to keep an eye to the sky for strong thunderstorms this afternoon. The main threat window is anticipated to be between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Heavy downpours, coupled with the slow movement of these showers will result in an enhanced threat for localized flooding. Localized rainfall amounts could exceed 2.5”+ in an hour or less.
Damaging wind gusts and small hail cannot be ruled out in a few of the strong storms but any severe weather should not be widespread with localized flooding being the main concern.
Please do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The water may be deeper than you think it is.
