Temple City Limits Fireworks Fun on July 4
Did you know more fires are reported on Fourth of July than any other day of the year? If you’re planning to light fireworks, then this friendly reminder is for you.
The City of Temple City will only permit the use of legal fireworks on Monday, July 4 between the hours of noon and 10 PM. Legal fireworks are those that don’t fly or explode, and are commonly known as “safe and sane” fireworks.
You can confirm you have legal fireworks by checking for the “safe and sane” logo. If you don’t see the logo, the fireworks are illegal and can pose real threats to people and property. Examples of illegal fireworks include sky rockets, bottle rockets, firecrackers, and roman candles.
Increased police patrols will be searching for illegal firework use on July 4. Don’t risk getting fined for violations that range from $250 to $5,000.
Please report illegal activity to Temple Sheriff’s Station by calling (626) 285-7171.
Remember to check the directions on your fireworks before lighting them. To learn more firework safety tips, visit templecity.us.
Thank you for helping keep our city safe. We wish you a fun, festive, and freedom-filled Fourth of July!
