June 13th

Residential Burglary – 800 Block of Bates Ave:
An officer reported an unknown suspect entered the victim’s house by forcing open the garage door and stole tools. The theft occurred in between 06/10 at 1500 hours and 06/13 at 0700 hours.

Theft from Vehicle – 8700 Block of Terrace Dr:
An officer reported an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unsecured vehicle and removed property. The theft occurred in between 6/12 at 2000 hours and 6/13 at 0730 hours.

Petty Theft-6060 Central Ave:
At 0927 hours, an officer reported the victim was inside Nation’s. When he stepped away from his table, he noticed a 29-year-old male from Berkeley taking items from his the table. The victim confronted male and was able to retrieve his keys. The male fled the business and was followed by the victim who flagged down responding officers. The male was detained and was placed under citizen’s arrest by the victim. After booking at the El Cerrito Police Department, the male was released on a citation.

Warrant Arrest- San Pablo Ave. / Potrero Ave:
At 1039 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the passenger, the 36-year-old female from Richmond for an outstanding warrant. The female was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Residential Burglary – 1300 Block of Contra Costa Dr:
An officer reported an unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence via an unsecured back door and removed property. The theft occurred in between 1154-1224 hours.

Grand Theft – 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 1255 hours, an officer reported two suspects walked behind the counter and stole boxes containing cartons of cigarettes.

Possession of a controlled substance – San Pablo Ave. / Cutting Blvd:
At 2016 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver, a 21-year-old Richmond man for possession of heroin. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.

Recovered stolen vehicle, Fleeing from police – Potrero Ave. / I-80:
At 2209 hours, an officer located a stolen vehicle being driven by a 23-year-old Oakland man. The man sped away from officers and led them on a short pursuit before losing control of his vehicle on the freeway. The vehicle collided with the guardrail and flipped. The driver was removed from the vehicle by officers and arrested. The man was transported to a local hospital where he was found not to have any injuries and cleared for incarceration. He was then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Vandalism – San Pablo Ave. / Fairmount Ave:
At 0140 hours, an officer found that the bench at the bus stop was destroyed by unknown means. The officer spoke with public works to remove and replace the bench.

June 14th

Residential Burglary – 1000 Block of Contra Costa Dr:
An officer reported an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and used the garage door clicker to gain access to the garage. Once inside, the suspect stole property. The theft occurred in between 6/12 at 2100 hours and 6/13 at 0830 hours.

Residential Burglary – 1500 Block of Lexington Ave:
An officer reported an unknown suspect entered the victim’s residence via an unlocked front door and stole electronics. The burglary occurred in between 1140-1205 hours.

Warrant Arrest – Eastshore Blvd. / Potrero Ave:
At 2211 hours, an officer arrested a 36-year-old Richmond man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest – S.52nd St / Victor Ave:
At 2212 hours, an officer arrested a 39-year-old San Francisco woman for an outstanding warrant. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance – 900 block of Seaview Dr:
At 0208 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested a 36-year-old Richmond man for an outstanding warrant. The man was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

June 15th

Possession of a controlled substance – Moeser Lane / Richmond St:
At 2016 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested a 35-year-old Albany man for possession of methamphetamine. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.

Warrant Arrest – 670 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 0002 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian enforcement stop and arrested a 56-year-old Richmond woman for an outstanding warrant. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.

June 16th

Battery – 900 block of Liberty St:
At 2238 hours, officers were dispatched to a residence for a physical fight between siblings. The suspect, a 32-year-old El Cerrito man struck his sister several times leaving bruising and scratches. The victim did not want her brother arrested.

Warrant arrest – San Pablo Ave. / Moeser Ln:
At 2336 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian enforcement stop and arrested a 32-year-old transient man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Driving under the influence – San Pablo Ave. / Blake St:
At 0155 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver, a 48-year-old Vallejo woman for driving under the influence of alcohol. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released.
