June 7th

Auto Burglary-1700 Block of Eastshore Boulevard:
An officer reported an unknown suspect smashed a window on the victim’s vehicle and stole property. The theft occurred in between 0500 and 1550 hours.

Warrant arrest – San Pablo Ave. / Moeser Ln:
At 2126 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver, a 35-year-old Fairfield man for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Driving under the influence – Potrero Ave. / S. 56th St:
At 2251 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver, a 34-year-old Richmond man for driving under the influence of alcohol. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released to a sober friend.

Warrant arrest – Cutting Blvd. / Peerless Ave:
At 0125 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 33-year-old Richmond man for three outstanding warrants. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Felon in possession of body armor – I80 / Carlson Blvd:
At 0220 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the driver, a 33-year-old Richmond man for possession of body armor. The man had a violent felony on his record, which prohibits him from possessing body armor. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

June 8th

Theft from Auto-1800 Block of Arlington Boulevard:
An officer reported an unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed property sometime during the night.

Warrant arrest – San Pablo Ave. / Potrero Ave:
At 2309 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested the passenger, a 48-year-old El Cerrito woman for an outstanding warrant. The woman was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Attempted theft – 11319 San Pablo Ave:
At 2352 hours, the clerk let a 28-year-old Richmond man into the business to wait for his ride. While in the business, the man decided he wanted to steal cigarettes. The clerk locked the suspect into the lobby and called police. The man was arrested and released with a citation.

Warrant arrest, Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of paraphernalia – 6060 Central Ave:
At 0417 hours, officers were dispatched to Nation’s for an unwanted patron. Officers subsequently arrested the 37-year-old Napa man for two outstanding warrants. During booking, Officers located methamphetamine and a glass pipe. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

June 9th

Warrant Arrest- San Pablo Avenue and Conlon Avenue:
At 0913 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a thirty one year old female from Richmond for a no bail warrant. The female was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Shoplifter-11450 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1225 hours, an officer responded to Safeway and accepted the Citizen’s Arrest of a thirty five year old female from San Francisco. The female was detained by loss prevention after she left the store with unpaid merchandise. The female was released on a citation due to medical condition.

Auto Burglary- 6060 Central Avenue:
At 1346 hours, an officer reported an unknown suspect shattered a window on the victim’s vehicle and stole a guitar.

Recovered stolen vehicle – 5920 Cutting Blvd:
At 1922 hours, an officer located a blue Dodge Caravan that had been reported stolen to Berkeley PD the day prior. Officers arrested the driver, a 54-year-old Berkeley man. The man was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released due to a preexisting medical condition. The man was transported to the hospital via AMR.
