Police Blotter June 3rd to June 6th

June 3rd

Grand Theft - View Dr / Scenic Dr:
At 0726 hours, an officer responded to the report of subjects stealing equipment from an unlocked van. Three unidentified suspects stole items from an unsecured vehicle. They fled in a white vehicle with no plates.

Shoplifting 11299 San Pablo Ave:
At 1029 hours, Officers responded to the report of a theft. Three BFAs and one BFJ, stole various wigs and other items and then fled in a dark Dodge van with a plate similar to 6YKB961.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery 11555 San Pablo Ave:
At 1207 hours, an officer located a Jeep reported as stolen to the Richmond Police Department. The subject driving the Jeep was detained, however further investigation revealed the owner located the vehicle months ago and located the vehicle without notifying law enforcement. The driver was released.

Shoplifting – CVS, 10650 San Pablo Ave:
At 1306 hours, Officers responded to the report of a group of subjects stealing alcohol at CVS. Three female juveniles, two female adults, were placed under citizen’s arrest. They were booked and released.

Warrant, Possess Controlled Substance – San Pablo Ave / Portola Dr:
At 2030 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the 57 year old driver from Richmond on a no bail Contra Costa County warrant. A 52 year old male passenger from Richmond was on probation and arrested for possession of methamphetamines. Both were booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. The driver was transported to county jail and the passenger was released on a citation.

Warrant – Walgreens, 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 2342 hours, an officer investigated a suspicious vehicle and arrested a 38 year old Oakland man on a no bail Contra Costa warrant and a Placer County warrant. He was booked at the ECPD and then transported to Martinez Detention Facility.

June 4th

Residential Burglary - 1400 block Arlington Blvd:
At 1013 hours, an officer responded to the report of a garage burglary. An unidentified suspect kicked open a garage door over night and rifled through the interior.

Warrant, DUI, Provide False Name, Unlicensed Driver – San Pablo Ave / Madison Ave:
At 1912 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the 20 year old female driver from Oakland on a no cite Contra Costa County warrant. The female initially provided a false name. She displayed objective symptoms of intoxication and was determined to be driving under the influence and unlicensed. She was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and cited on the new charges and transported to MDF on the warrant.

Possess Controlled Substance – Creekside Park:
At 2345 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 40 year old man from Richmond for possession of methamphetamines. He was booked at the ECPD and then released on a citation.

June 5th

Residential Burglary - 1700 block of Lexington:
An officer reports that between 0630 and 0800 hours, the victim left their condo’s sliding glass door open with a laptop computer in plain view on the table. (S) Unknown took off the screen door and then stole the laptop.

Loaded & Concealed Firearm and Drug Possession Central Ave. / San Mateo Ave:
At 1059 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop. He arrested the right front passenger, a 26 year old Berkeley residence, after locating a 40 caliber semi-automatic pistol concealed in his pants pocket and several tablets of MDMA. He was booked and transported to the MDF. The driver was operating on a suspended license, so she was field cited and her car towed.

Warrant Arrest - 10012 San Pablo Ave:
At 1651 hours, an officer was dispatched to the report of a subject causing a disturbance at Pic-N-Pac Liquors. The 39 year old man was contacted and found to have a $20K warrant for his arrest.

June 6th

Grand Theft - 1700 Wesley Ave:
At 0925 hours, an officer responded to the report of a theft from an unlocked vehicle. In between 1945 0830 hours, the unidentified suspect stole $2500 worth of pool cues.

Possess Controlled Substance – San Pablo Ave / Madison Ave:
At 1956 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 39 year old man from Richmond for possession of methamphetamines. He was booked and released on citation.

Possess Controlled Substance, Possess Drug Paraphernalia – Carlson Blvd / Central Ave:
At 0011 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 40 year old man from Richmond for possession of methamphetamines and a pipe. He was booked at the ECPD and then released on a citation.
