May 27th

Robbery, Parole Violation – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1037 hours, officers responded to the report of a shoplifter resisting arrest. Loss Prevention Agents attempted to a 57 year old female who began to remove the property, to include glass bottles, from her undergarments and throw them at loss prevention and onlookers. She then threatened to pull out a knife. She was detained prior to the police arrival. She was uncooperative and refused to provide her name. She was identified via her fingerprints and determined to be parolee at large. She was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Robbery – Lucky, 1000 El Cerrito Plaza:
At 1708 hours, officers responded to the report of an armed robbery. Uniformed security attempted to stop a shoplifter just outside the store. The suspect brandished a firearm at the security guard. The suspect was located at Plaza BART and arrested. He was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Residential Burglary – 5300 block Potrero Ave:
Sometime between 1045 and 1815 hours, an unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s garage, which was likely left open, and stole two bicycles.

Possess Stolen Property, Probation Violation – 6400 Cutting Blvd:
At 1853 hours, a victim from the above listed burglary called and reported she saw a suspect riding her bicycle at Del Norte BART. A 24 year old male from Richmond was detained and the bicycle was confirmed stolen during the burglary. He was placed under citizen arrest. He was determined to be felony probation in Contra Costa County. He was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility. 

DUI – Stockton Ave / San Pablo Ave:
At 0052 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 28 year old man from San Pablo for DUI. He was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.

DUI – I-80 / Solano Ave:
At 0144 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 33 year old female from San Pablo for DUI. She was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.

Stolen Vehicle – 10869 San Pablo Ave:
At 0148 hours, an officer located a grey 2015 Kia Optima. The Kia was a rental car and not returned and reported stolen to Alameda County Sherriff on 5/23/16.

May 28th

Auto Burglary – 2600 Block Monte Vista Dr:
In between 2200 and 0645 hours, unknown suspect pried and broke the window of a Toyota Corolla. The loss was a gym bag.

Residential Burglary – 300 block Seaview Dr:
On 05/27/2016 between 1000 and 1200 hours, unknown suspect entered via an unlocked rear door and stole a laptop, tablet and cash.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery – 11565 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1643 hours, an officer arrested a 38 year old female from Oakland and a 37 year old male from Oakland for possession of a stolen Mercedes. They were booked at the El Cerrito Police Department. The male suffered a medical emergency during booking and was transported to Kaiser. The female was released.

Residential Burglary – 900 block Arlington Blvd:
Sometime between 5/26/16 at 2000 hours and 5/28/16 at 2030 hours, an unknown suspect/s pried open a door into the residence from and unsecured laundry room. Once inside, the suspect conducted a major ransack and stole cash, jewelry, electronics, and tools.

DUI, Possess Controlled Substance – Fairmount Ave / San Pablo Ave:
At 0021 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the 32 year old male driver from San Pablo for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamines. He was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.

DUI – San Pablo Ave / Macdonald Ave:
At 0232 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the 61 year old driver from Vallejo for DUI. He was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.

May 29th

Robbery Arrest – 11565 San Pablo Ave
At 1031 hours, an officer spotted a robbery suspect he recognized him from the video surveillance from this case which occurred on 5/23/16. The 60 year old man from Richmond was arrested in connection with the earlier case. He was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Stolen Vehicle Report – 11156 San Pablo Avenue:
Between 0600 -0700 hours, an unidentified suspect stole a red 1987 Nissan truck.

Residential Burglary – 1300 block Scott St:
Sometime between 5/28/16 at 1630 hours and 5/29/16 at 1530 hours, an unidentified suspect entered the residence via an unlocked door and stole jewelry.

Warrant – Potrero Ave / S. 56th St:
At 0050 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 26 year old female from Palm Springs on a Contra Costa County warrant. She was booked at the ECPD and cited.

DUI – San Pablo Ave / Schmidt Lane:
At 0056 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop. The 42 year old male driver from Albany displayed objective symptoms of intoxication and he was for DUI. He was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.
