May 24th

Possession of an Illegal Firearm/Controlled Substance-2000 Block of Carquinez Avenue:
At 0945 hours, officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle detail. During the investigation, a 36 year old female from Richmond was arrested for being in possession of an illegal firearm and heroin. The female was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.

In-custody Shopifter-10794 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1306 hours, an officer was dispatched to Marshall’s for an in-custody theft detail. Loss prevention agents detained 19 year old female from Rodeo after she attempted to refund items she removed from the shelf. The female was transported to the El Cerrito Police Department for booking and released on a citation.

Public Intoxication-11135 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1542 hours, officers were dispatched to an unwanted person in front of the post office. Officers located the 38 year old transient male and noticed he was intoxicated and unable to care for himself. The male was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Shoplifter-10794 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1544 hours, two suspects attempted to exit the store with concealed merchandise and were contacted by loss prevention agents. The suspects threatened violence against store staff and left in a dark blue Kia rental vehicle. The female suspect was described as BFA, 25 years old, 5’6”, 140 pounds with short blond hair. The male suspect was described as a BMA, 28 years old, 6’00” with a heavy build.

Battery – 1000 El Cerrito Plaza (Lucky’s):
At 1909 hours, while responding to a call of a theft from 2000 El Cerrito Plaza, officers were flagged down regarding a battery. A 36 year old female from San Francisco assaulted the store manager and was taken into custody. The female was booked and released on a citation.

Warrant Arrest – Potrero Ave/I-80:
At 2146 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, a 25 year old male from San Francisco for an outstanding warrant. The male was booked and then transported to county jail.

Possession of a controlled substance and Warrant Arrest – Baxter Creek:
At 2225 hours, while conducting foot patrol in the area and officer noticed two subjects in the park area. The subjects were contacted and it was discovered one of the subjects a 23 year old female from Vallejo, had several outstanding warrants. A search of the female’s backpack revealed she also was in possession of a controlled substance. The female was booked and then transported to county jail.

Driving while under the influence – Central Ave/Kearney St:
At 0226 hours, an Officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the driver, a 26 year old male from El Cerrito, for driving under the influence. The male was booked and then released to a sober friend.

May 25th

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave/Knott Ave:
At 2304 hours, an Officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 27 year old female from El Sobrante, for an outstanding warrant from Napa County. The female was booked and transported to county jail.

Driving while under the influence – Carlson Blvd/El Dorado St:
At 0120 hours, an Officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, 35 year old male form San Francisco, for DUI. The male was booked and then released on a citation to a family member.

May 26th

Grand Theft- 11450 San Pablo Avenue:
An officer reported an unknown suspect stole the catalytic convertor of two Safeway delivery trucks. The theft occurred in between 5/13@1600 and 5/26@0900 hours.

Vandalism – 1120 Arlington Blvd (Arlington Park):
At 2244 hours, Officers were dispatched to four males with flashlights and shovels who were digging in the park. Officers arrived in the area and the males fled the area on foot. Officers located one subject, a 33 year old male from Sacramento in the park. Officers searched the area and located a 25 year old male from Vallejo and a 31 year old male from Sacramento nearby. The two males both had mud on their shoes and clothing but claimed they were in the area for other reasons. Wants and warrants check revealed one of the males was sex offender registrant and on parole. One of the males admitted he and his friends were digging in the park because someone they meet at the Casino stated they had buried 50k taken in a robbery in the park. Because of the damage to the park, the subjects were taken into custody. The group was booked and all subjects were released on citations.
