May 20th
Shoplifter – Lucky’s, 1000 EC Plaza:
At 1408 hours, officers responded to the report of a shoplifter at the EC Plaza. Officers located the suspect, a 52 year old Berkeley woman on Carlson Blvd. She stole 5 bottles of alcoholic beverage. She was placed under citizen’s address. She was booked and released on a citation.
Auto Burglary – 6200 block Jordan Ave:
At 1844 hours, two suspects forced open the toolbox in the victim’s truck but were scared off by the victim before anything was stolen. The suspects were described as:
Suspect 1: The driver. Hispanic male, 35-40, medium build, wearing orange safety vest, white t-shirt, and blue jeans
Suspect 2: The passenger. Hispanic male adult, brown hair with buzz cut, 5-06 tall with medium build, tattoo on his right upper arm, and wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and boots
They fled in a newer model silver Toyota Rav-4 with black and white “Car Max” dealer plates. They were last seen heading westbound on Cutting Blvd.
Warrant – San Pablo Ave / Central Ave:
At 0117 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested a 58 year old male from Berkeley on a no bail Alameda County Warrant. He was booked at the ECPD and then transported to Martinez Detention Facility.
DUI – Potrero Ave / S. 55th St:
At 0240 hours, an officer conducted at traffic stop and arrested a 33 year old Oakland woman for DUI. She was booked at the ECPD and released on citation.
May 21st
Warrant Arrest - 900 block of Seaview Dr:
At 0655 hours, an officer contacted a 40 year old transient male who was wanted on a felony warrant. The subject was arrested, booked and transported to the County Jail.
Shoplifter - CVS, 670 EC Plaza:
At 1602 hours, officers responded to the report of an unwanted person at CVS Drug store. An officer located a 55 year old Richmond male who had just stolen three electric razors from the store. The man was placed under citizen’s arrest, booked, issued a citation and released.
Residential Burglary - 1400 block of Arlington Blvd:
At 1629 hours, an officer responded to the report of a burglary. An unidentified suspect entered the residence via an unlocked widow. Once inside the suspect stole jewelry and other personal items. The burglary occurred between 0930 and 1630 hours.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon – 6200 block Cypress Ave:
At 1826 hours, officers responded to a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they located the victim with a wound to his neck. The 29 year old male suspect from El Cerrito was arrested a short time later. He was booked at the ECPD and transported to Martinez Detention Facility.
May 22nd
Under the influence of a controlled substance - 10900 San Pablo Avenue:
At 0758 hours, a 29 year old Richmond man came to the police department. It was determined that he was under the influence of a stimulant. He was arrested, booked and transported to the Contra Costa County jail.
Shoplifter - 11565 San Pablo Avenue:
At 1050 hours, officers responded to the report of a theft that had just occurred. An officer located the suspect; a 56 year Richmond man was located fleeing the area in the 5000 block of Cutting Blvd. A large quantity of stolen items from the store were recovered and the man was placed under citizen’s arrest. He was booked and transported to the County Jail.
DUI – San Pablo Ave / Cutting Blvd:
At 1829 hours, an obviously impaired driver was seen leaving the Home Depot parking lot and headed southbound San Pablo Ave to Cutting Blvd where the vehicle was stopped. The 58 year old male driver from Richmond was arrested for DUI. He was booked at the ECPD and then transported to county jail due to his level of intoxication.
Stolen Vehicle Recovered – El Cerrito Plaza:
At 2156 hours, an officer located an occupied stolen 1998 Acura CL which had been reported stolen to Oakland on 5/7/16. The 19 year old male driver from Berkeley was arrested, booked at the ECPD and transported to Martinez Detention Facility.
Possession of a Controlled Substance – Lexington Ave / Waldo Ave:
At 2248 hours, an officer responded to a suspicious person call and contacted a 36 year old male transient who was found to be in possession of methamphetamines and arrested. He was booked at the ECPD and released on a citation.
May 23rd
Strong Arm Robbery – Walgreens, 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At 1003 hours, an officer responded to the report of a robbery. The suspect, a black male, 6’01”, 180 lbs, late 40s stole candy and beer from Walgreens. When the manager tried to stop him, he turned around, took a fighting stance and told her he was going to kill her. He then fled the area.
Trespassing – 7100 block Eureka Ave:
At 1428 hours, officers responded to the report of a residential burglary in progress. A total of nine ECHS juveniles were detained in the rear yard of a vacant home. The homeowner arrived but the crime of burglary could not be confirmed. The students were issued citations for daytime curfew violations and returned to school.
Domestic Battery – 1700 Block Ganges St:
At 2044 hours, officers responded to several calls of a battery. Upon arrival, it was determined a 30 year old Richmond man was chasing his girlfriend and mother of his child around the car and then pushed her to the ground. He was arrested, booked at ECPD, and transported to county jail.
Residential Burglary – 6400 block Hagen Blvd:
An unknown suspect(s) broke the window of a back door. The suspect(s) conducted a minor ransack and stole various electronics. A nearby resident reported seeing two suspicious persons carrying electronics to a green vehicle between 1700 to 1800 hours. The vehicle was described as a green sedan. The suspects were both described as white or Hispanic males about 25 to 30 years old with a medium build. They left eastbound on Harper Street.
Armed Robbery, Auto Burglary – Liberty Street / Lincoln Ave:
At approximately 2110 hours, the victim arrived home from work and exited her vehicle. She was approached by a male suspect who pointed a handgun at her and demanded her purse which was still on the front seat of her vehicle. The victim stepped backwards as the male suspect broke the car window with the handgun and stole the purse. He fled to a nearby car which was driven by a second male suspect. Both suspects were described as black male adults, approximately 20, 5-08, 150 pounds, and wearing a black hat, black sweater, and dark pants. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a grey or silver 4 door, possibly a Toyota, with black and white paper plates with a star emblem on the plate. They fled southbound Liberty St and then westbound on either Central Ave of Fairmount Ave.
Battery, Parole Hold – Denny’s, 11344 San Pablo Ave:
At 0457 hours, officers responded to a battery and arrested a 27 year old man from Richmond after he struck a delivery driver causing a swollen and bloody lip. The suspect was on parole and a parole hold obtained. He was booked at ECPD and transported to county jail.
