May 16th

Warrant Arrest-6600 Block of Cutting Boulevard:
At 0712 hours, officers were dispatched to an unwanted subject. During the investigation, officers arrested the 35 year old female from El Sobrante for an active warrant. After booking at the El Cerrito Police Department, she was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Warrant Arrest- Wall Avenue at Kearney Street:
At 0851 hours, officers were dispatched to an unwanted person detail. During the investigation, officers arrested a 53 year old transient male for an active warrant. After the male was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department, he was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Brandishing Deadly Weapon- 11700 Block of San Pablo Avenue:
At 1507 hours, an officer reported an unknown suspect brandished a knife at the victim after verbally threatening him.

Warrant Arrest – Cutting Blvd/BART Path:
At approximately 0110 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested 19 year old male for an outstanding warrant. The man was booked and then taken to county jail.

Warrant Arrest – Fairmount Ave/Liberty St:
At approximately 0217 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 35 year old male for a warrant. During the booking process the male appeared disoriented and was taken to the county hospital.

May 17th

Strong Arm Robbery-2000 Block of Harper Street:
An officer reported the victims were walking home. Upon arrival suspect #1 blocked the victim’s husband’s path while suspect #2 punched the victim in the head and stole her purse. The theft occurred on 5/16 between 2030-2040 hours.

Arson-2000 Block of Key Boulevard :
At 1541 hours, The El Cerrito Fire Department responded to the area for a grass fire. Upon arrival they located folded up paper bags smoldering along with a small bottle of lighter fluid in the middle of the street. The Arson Team responded and processed the scene for evidence.

Burglary – 11760 San Pablo Ave:
An ECPD officer reports that an unknown suspect entered the victim’s apartment through an open window and took the victim’s bicycle and left through the front door. Crime occurred between 5/14 at 2000 hours and 5/16 at 2200 hours. Bicycle was a blue, Gravity brand bike with blue wheels. Estimated cost of the bike was $320.00.

Warrant Arrest – San Pablo Ave/Blake St:
At approximately 1856 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested 33 year old male for an outstanding warrant. The male was booked and then taken to county jail.

Driving under the Influence – San Pablo Ave/Moeser Lane:
At approximately 0008 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and subsequently arrested the driver, 18 year old male, for DUI. The male was booked and released on a citation to a family member.

May 18th

Stolen Vehicle- 3200 Block of Santa Clara Avenue:
An officer reported an unknown suspect stole the victim’s Gold, 4-door 2008 Mercury Sable. The theft occurred in between 5/17@1900 and 5/18@1000.

Robbery-11200 Block of San Pablo Avenue:
At 1114 hours, an officer reported a 19 year old female from Berkeley attempted to leave the business with unpaid merchandise. When an employee attempted to retrieve the merchandise, the female began punching and slapping the employee. Officers located the female near the front of the store and detained her. The female was positively identified by the employee during an infield show-up and placed under Citizen’s Arrest. The female was booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and released on a citation.

Warrant Arrest-10400 Block of San Pablo Avenue:
At 1634 hours, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop and arrested a 28 year old female from Richmond and 24 year old male from Richmond for outstanding warrants. They were both booked at the El Cerrito Police Department and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Possession of Controlled Substance – 11545 San Pablo Ave:
At 2110 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested 36 year old female from Oakland for being in possession of a controlled substance. The female was booked and released on a citation.

Warrant Arrest and Possession of a Controlled Substance – 11565 San Pablo Ave:
At approximately 2221 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested a 36 year old male from El Sobrante, for an outstanding warrant. During booking the officer located a controlled substance on his person. The male was cited for being in possession of narcotics and transported to county jail for the warrant.

Possession of a Controlled Substance – San Pablo Ave/Moeser Lane:
At approximately 0015 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the passenger, a 37 year old female from San Pablo, for being in possession of a controlled substance and a smoking device.

Driving Under the Influence – I-80 WB/Richmond Parkway:
At approximately 0059 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, a 20 year old male from Pittsburg for driving under the influence. The male was booked and released to a family friend.

Battery upon an Officer and Parole Violation – 11450 San Pablo Ave (Safeway):
At 0341 hours, officers were dispatched to a report of a female asleep in the storage area of the business. Upon arrival officer located a 28 year old female from Oakland and attempted to wake her. When awaking the female spat upon officers and attempted to punch one of the officers. The female was taken into custody. During booking it was learned the female was on parole. The female was booked and taken to county jail.

May 19th
Commercial Burglary-10600 Block of San Pablo Avenue:
At 0931 hours, an officer reported unknown suspect(s) broke into an abandoned building and stole copper wiring.

Warrant Arrest- Blake Avenue@ BART Path:
At 1510 hours, an officer conducted a pedestrian stop on a year old male from Oakland and arrested him for an outstanding warrant. The male was transported to the El Cerrito Police Department for booking. After booking the male was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Driving under the Influence – San Pablo Ave/Moeser Lane:
At approximately 0056 hours, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver, a 60 year old male from Richmond, for driving under the influence. The male was booked and then released to a family member.
