Smoke visible in Payson this afternoon is from the Cedar Fire near Show Low. No new fire starts reported near Payson. According to local USFS officials, it appears fire activity on the Cedar Fire has increased somewhat and is producing more smoke that higher winds from the northeast have blown into the Payson area. We will update as necessary if the situation changes.
