State St and 9th St to be closed at 5:30 PM for Old Canal Days Parade 
Beginning at 5:30 PM tonight, State St will be CLOSED between Thornton St and Division St due to the City's annual Old Canal Days Parade. 9th St will also be closed between Canal Rd and Madison St. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible. There will be a posted detour route. This closure is expected to last until 8:00 PM.
Additionally, State St will be closed beginning at 4:00 AM on Saturday between 6th St and 9th St. This closure will remain in effect until late Sunday night.
We invite everyone to come down and join in the festivities this weekend, but please be aware of road closures and the large amount of pedestrian traffic that comes with the weekend.
