Advisory

Lots of events in Mountain View today, expect traffic

We have quite a few events going on in Mountain View today, and we wanted to alert you to the possibility of some traffic delays as you head home from work or summer fun!

In downtown Mountain View, Thursday Night Live will launch for the first time this summer. The event will shut down Castro Street between Mercy and Villa streets so you can enjoy restaurant dining, shopping, a farmer’s market, a tribute to the band, Journey, and so much more! The event lasts from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. For more information about the event, you can reach out to the city’s Recreation Office at 650-903-6331.

You can also expect some slight delays along northbound El Camino Real between 3 pm and 5 pm as our police department officers participate in the 2016 Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics Northern California.

Steely Dan is also scheduled to perform at Shoreline Amphitheatre at 7 pm. Expect some delays along Shoreline Boulevard as well as coming off of Highway 101 and Highway 85.

As always, when traveling during busy traffic times, remember to take your time getting to your destination. Leave early and drive carefully.

Stay safe, Mountain View!
