Tar River Regional Drug Task Force makes drug arrest in Whitakers 
On June 15, 2016 at 1:00 pm, members of the Tar River Regional Drug Task Force based out of Nash County executed a Narcotics search warrant at the address of 10058 North US Hwy 301 Whitakers, NC.
A brief investigation had been conducted on MARVIN EUGENE RUDD, the owner of the listed address. Officers determined that crack cocaine was being sold from the residence by RUDD and being distributed throughout the Whitakers Community. As a result of the execution of the search warrant, Officers seized 9.7 grams of crack cocaine, 15.9 grams of Marijuana, 1 gallon of non tax paid liquor, $654 US Currency, and drug paraphernalia. RUDD was taken into custody without incident and secured in the Nash County Jail under a $36,000 bond.
Members of the Task Force that assisted in the investigation were from the Nash County Sheriff’s Office, Nashville Police Department, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement.
