Sun Prairie Police Department Media Release - Stuff the Squad Event

From: Sergeant Ryan Cox
Date: June 11th, 2016
Subject: Stuff the Squad

On Saturday, June 11th, from 10:45am to 2pm, members of the Sun Prairie Police Department participated in the “Stuff the Squad” event which was held at both Copps Food Center locations in our city. District Liaison Officers Lukens, Hameister, K9 Officer Ben Pluim and his canine partner Lasko, and Community Service Officer Johnson spent the course of the event contacting hundreds of people with the goal of selling food bags which were donated to the Sun Prairie Food Pantry. Also during our contacts people were able to meet Lasko, receive Lasko trading cards and police badge stickers. The event was a tremendous success with 77 bags of food, weighing 280 lbs., being sold and donated to the Sun Prairie Food Pantry.

Both Copps stores also had donation buckets and a brat fry for the Sun Prairie K9 Program. Over $600 was raised during the event.

On behalf of the Sun Prairie Police Department, we thank everyone who donated and Copps Food Centers for participating and hosting the event.
