Retired Drug-Fighting Ripon Police K-9, Topper, Passes Away 
The Ripon Police Department announced some very sad news today. One of its retired police K-9s, Topper, passed away. Police said the 13 year old Labrador Retriever passed away today as a result of old age and medical issues.
K-9-Handler Ofc. Bob Winget and K-9-Handler Ofc. Gordon West both shared the unique distinction of being partnered with Topper during his 7 years on the force. A department spokesperson said Topper will be greatly missed.
