Sheriff's Mounted Enforcement Unit spend the day patrolling the San Bernardino National Forest area of Barton Flats

INCIDENT: Mounted Mountain Patrol
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, May 28, 2016, Deputies Eby and Elliott from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Mounted Enforcement Unit working in conjunction with the U.S. Forest Service, patrolled the San Bernardino National Forest area of Barton Flats near HWY 38 and the surrounding campgrounds. Throughout the day, they were greeted by well over 100 enthusiastic campers who flocked to greet the horses at the 7 different campgrounds they visited.
Deputies from the Mounted Enforcement Unit are highly trained along with their horses. They are another proactive positive tool used to engage members of the community.
