Press Release: Car Burglary

ACCUSED: Damian Forde Jr. 21 year old Male from Asbury
Park, NJ
NARRATIVE:
On 05/23/2016 at approximately 8:50 pm police responded to the Target of Ocean for a report of a car burglary. Upon arrival Officer Alon Bercovicz met with the victim owner of the car who indicated he was missing two personal electronic devices from his vehicle. Prior to police arrival, the victim observed a suspicious person in the parking lot near his car. A short time later that person drove away in a vehicle and the victim took note of the license plate.
Further investigation revealed that the driver of that vehicle, later identified as Damian Forde Jr., did in fact enter the victim’s car through the open sunroof and removed the electronic devices. Forde later turned himself in at police headquarters where he was arrested and processed.
Forde was charged with burglary to a vehicle and theft of property. He was later transported to the Monmouth County Jail on $5,000.00 bail.
