Loma Linda - suspect arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon

SUSPECT(S): Michael Folmar age 51 a transient

SUMMARY: On Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at approximately 8:44 a.m., deputies from the Central Station/Loma Linda responded to the report of an assault that had occurred at a residence on California Street and Orange Avenue in Loma Linda. Upon arrival, deputies were advised Loma Linda City Code Enforcement was at an abandoned antique home. While conducting business he discovered a homeless man on the property and made contact with him. The subject, later identified as Michael Folmar, grabbed a large metal stake and attempted to strike the code enforcement officer. Deputies arrived on scene and arrested Folmar for assault with a deadly weapon. Folmar was arrested for PC 245(a)(1) Assault with a Deadly Weapon and booked into Central Detention Center.
