05/14/16 WTPD arrested Brian Walker, age 38, of Asbury, NJ, for driving while intoxicated (DWI). On 05/14/16 at approximately 1:34 AM, patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 57 E. in Washington Borough. The officer’s investigation resulted in the driver’s, Mr. Walker, arrest for (DWI). He had a BAC of .27%. Mr. Walker was charged with failure to maintain lanes, careless driving and (DWI). He was processed and released with a mandatory court date.

05/14/16 WTPD arrested Anthony Barra, age 40, of Washington, NJ for simple assault and harassment. He was processed and released with a mandatory court date.

05/15/16 WTPD arrested Robert Streeter, age 71, of Spring Hill, FL. for an outstanding $79.00 warrant out of Washington Township (Morris County). On 05/15/16 at approximately 9:40 PM, patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop on Broad St. in Washington Borough. The officer’s investigation revealed that the vehicle’s driver, Mr. Streeter, had an outstanding warrant. Mr. Streeter was processed, issued a motor vehicle summons for the maintenance of lamps and released with a new court date.

05/16/16 WTPD arrested Mark Shaw, age 39, of Newton, NJ for a $750.00 warrant out of Andover Township. On 05/16/156 at approximately 8:31 PM, patrol was flagged down by Mr. Shaw who was walking on E. Washington Ave in Washington Borough. The officer made contact with Mr. Shaw, who indicated that his feet hurt from walking. During the interaction it was revealed that Mr. Shaw had an outstanding warrant. Mr. Shaw was processed and released with a new court date.

05/17/16 WTPD arrested William Zimmerman, age 58, and Theresa Wilson, age 48, both of Oxford, NJ. On 05/17/16 at approximately 12:37 AM, patrol responded to the Heritage Manor on Pine St. in Oxford Township to serve an NCIC arrest warrant on Ms. Wilson. Upon the officer’s arrival and subsequent investigation, Ms. Wilson, who was barred from returning to the Pine St. property, was located at Mr. Zimmerman’s residence. Mr. Zimmerman was charged with hindering apprehension, a local ordinance of disorderly conduct and a local ordinance of interference of a law enforcement officer. He was processed and released with a mandatory court date. Ms. Wilson was processed, charged with defiant trespass and turned over to the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.

05/18/16 WTPD arrested Mandy Kolenut, age 34, of Blairstown, NJ, for an outstanding $25,000.00 warrants out of NJSP (Hope Barracks). On 05/18/16 at approximately 11:32 AM, patrol responded to the DCP&P office on Rte. 57 E. in Washington Township to serve an arrest warrant on Ms. Kolenut. Upon the officer’s arrival, Ms. Kolenut was taken into custody without incident. She was processed and turned over to NJSP.

On Friday 05/20/16 at 2:50 AM WTPD officers were dispatched to a single vehicle motor vehicle accident on Bowerstown Rd in Washington Township. As a result on the accident the driver, Kyle Dempski, age 19, of Washington, NJ suffered facial injuries and was flown to Morristown Hospital. A preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling west bound on Bowerstown Rd at a high rate a speed. The vehicle left the roadway striking mailboxes, garbage cans and a tree. The driver was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and a search warrant was obtained to determine his BAC. The Washington Township police were assisted at the scene by the Washington Township Fire Department, Washington Emergency Squad, and Atlantic Helicopter.

05/21/16 WTPD arrested Daniel Berger Jr., age 30, of Stewartsville, NJ and Dolson Sutton 4th, age 36, of Washington, NJ. On 05/21/16 at approximately 12:37 AM, patrol observed Mr. Sutton and Mr. Berger improperly cross Belvidere Ave in Washington Borough. Both subjects were issued summonses for improper crossing “Jaywalking”. Mr. Berger was found to have outstanding warrants totaling $551.00 out of Washington Borough and North Hunterdon Municipal Court. Mr. processed and released with a new court dates. Mr. Sutton was charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction of traffic and a local ordinance of maintaining a nuisance. He was processed and lodged in the WC Jail in lieu of $2500.00 bail.
