The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.
May 24th.
1648 Hours: During a pedestrian stop at Central Ave/Highway 880, Officer Jackman arrested a 40 year old Newark male for three outstanding warrants. The suspect was issued a citation and released.
1713 Hours: Officer Slater responded to the 36900 block of Mulberry Avenue and arrested a 30 year old Newark male for violating a restraining order. The suspect was booked at the Santa Rita Jail.
1807 Hours: Officer Norvell responded to a shoplifting case at JC Penney. A 24 year old Oakland female was cited and released at the scene for petty theft.
