This morning (Wednesday, May 25, 2016), members of the Hollis and Brookline Police Departments, with the assistance of K-9 handlers from the Nashua and Hudson Police Departments, conducted a search of Hollis-Brookline High School at the request of school officials. This search included portions of the interior and exterior of the building. The search was conducted as a preventative and proactive measure and NOT in response to any specific threat or incident. The search lasted for approximately one hour and students were either evacuated and sheltered in their classrooms while the search was conducted. At no time did any students come into contact with the police K-9’s or their handlers.

We, the Hollis and Brookline Police Departments, felt timely release of this information was critical. As such, this information is being posted immediately following the completion of the search so as to protect the integrity of its objective and to make sure that parents and students had reliable information about this search.
