OSBI special agents and deputies with the Greer County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Greer County man on a warrant for first degree murder this afternoon. Dusty Earl Grossman (d.o.b. 4/30/1966) was arrested at the sheriff’s office in Mangum for the murder of Carla Pursley. July 25, 2015, the 51-year-old woman was found unresponsive in the home she shared with Grossman at 108 South Steep, Willow. Medical personnel transported Pursley to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Grossman told authorities Pursley’s health had declined to the point she needed constant care and her mental capacity had diminished greatly.
An autopsy performed by the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined Pursley was a homicide victim and died from asphyxiation. She also had numerous contusions on her abdomen, pelvis, and left thigh; doctors found ligature marks on her right wrist and both ankles.
